Archways Fostering, is an independent childcare agency, providing foster placements for children & young people aged 0-18 years old with therapeutic support. An integral part of our service is the provision of therapeutic support for those children and young people who require it. Archways Fostering has been developed alongside our Archways Residential homes; our service take pride in the positive outcomes we achieve for the chldren in our care, our homes are rated by OFSTED as ‘OUTSTANDING’. 

Our success is based on the importance we place upon meeting the individual needs of the children and young people in our care by working in partnership with birth parents, foster carers, local authorities and other relevant agencies.

Building on the success of our Residential Services, we are now expanding our operations by providing high quality foster placements for children and young people in the care of Local Authorities.

Our aim is to recruit, train and support foster carers provide quality foster placements for children and young people who cannot live with their own families for all kinds of reasons to give them the opportunity to meet their full potential.

We understand that the children & young people in our care may have experienced a variety of difficulties. We have a Therapist available to undertake direct work with children & young people using a variety of therapeutic models such as; creative play, person centred counselling, behaviour management and attachment issues to support our foster carers to maintain stable placements.

Our Therapist also provides peer group workshops to our foster carers and staff to ensure we deliver successful outcomes for looked after children & young people.

We firmly believe that fostering is not only a vocation, but a profession. As such, we aim to provide a 24 hour on-call system and fortnightly supervision from qualified Fostering Social Workers to ensure that the support that foster carers and young people receive is of a high quality.

Fostering is challenging and a rewarding job, to become a foster carer with Archways Fostering, you need no specific qualifications other than an enjoyment of children and young people, resilience, the ability to provide them with a secure, caring family life and a willingness to attend relevant training courses.
